Thank you so much to all who came to our fundraising party last night! What a fun time! About 40 friends, colleagues, and neighbors attended and it was a blast. Tons of food donated Mary Ellen Scannell and by many of our attendees kept everyone fed and happy. Ms. Hannah McArdle brought a special treat, a cake in the form of our ride. The cake included Salem, Mongolia, a road with tiny fondant Big Blue Buses driving over chocolate and rice crispy Ural Mountains. We had the backdoor open and a fire pit in the back. Live music flowed from the back porch then from the living room throughout the night.
The Whiskey Raffle went well. We raffled off a Glenlivet Tasting set, 2 bottles of home made Key Lime Vodka, 2 bottles of Salem Sangeovese (homemade red wine), and 3 custom Salem to Mongolia ceramic mugs (donated by our wonderful neighbors Tom and Marta, email them about their custom signage printing at [email protected]).
We raised close to $700 through ticket sales and impromptu-shoe-retrievals (you had to be there...) This money almost covers the BBB's trip across the sea. We will be shipping off the Bus at the end of this week. Say good bye to it for now. We will see it again in mid-July when we pick it up in South Hampton.
You can also check out all of the new signage on the bus from all of our sponsors. Signage was donated by Jeff at Designflow Graphics. Check out more photos of the bus on the Vehicle page.
Again, THANK YOU ALL who attended. We hope you had fun! Anyone who couldn't be there, thank you for thinking about us and be sure to donate or sponsor us if you can.
As always Viva Mongolia!!!
