So I hope you have all been checking in with the map and have seen that we are here in the UK and have started some light travel. We started the rainy day with a great going away party thrown by Freda and John (Bruce's parents). We met many friends and family memebers and ate some delicious food! Thank you Freda and Gavin (Bruce's brother) for making the feast. And thank you to Marion and Sandy for sponsoring our adventure and to everyone else who attended and gave us love and well wishes all morning!
After the party, we (Bruce, Andrea, Freda, and John) left Macclesfield and went down to Derby (pronounced Darby and about an hour away) to visit with Bruce's niece Isobel. She is a beautiful little almost-seven-year-old. We had ice cream, coffees, and beers and a delightful afternoon in a pub housed in a former bank branch. Beautiful old wood working and super high ceilings.
Some last minute plan re-working and some (already) needed laundry and we are off tomorrow for Southampton to pick up the dear sweet Big Blue Bus!!! Then off to London for some real tourist action before we start our not so touristy adventure. Much train travel is to come for us in the next few days so keep checking the map for pings!
As always, Viva Mongolia!!!! and London here we come!!!
